INTRODUCTION

Disability is not inability, they say, from the quote itself, it is clear that persons with disability can still do something if assisted/empowered and given a chance regardless of their disability, which might limit them from performing various activities but not all.

Disability issues have been a world wide concern, let alone nationwide, whereby different development organizations come into existence to address the plight of persons with disability. However, not much has been achieved in dealing with problems facing disabled people, because still there are many cases present in communities as little has been done on awareness creation, hence we should not have the negative attitude towards persons with disability and also children being hidden or hosted captive in homes, hence denying them off their human rights.
